Candle FAQ

Shop orders check out with Stripe. Cards, Apple Pay and Google Pay appear when Stripe offers them on your device. We do not store card numbers on Sparkly. For a free sample plan we confirm the minimum shipping fee by email after you request an address.

Asia-Pacific orders, including Singapore, typically arrive within 7 days. Destinations outside the region can take up to 14 days. A tracking number is emailed when the parcel leaves the studio. Container candles are the leading scented-candle format in Singapore—our cups ship gift-boxed with waterproof encapsulation.

Contact us if a shipment arrives damaged, or if you receive the wrong or a faulty candle. We arrange a replacement immediately at our cost. Because these are handmade scent products, we do not accept returns of opened, burned candles that arrived as described.

New members can request a complimentary first crystal candle with a monthly plan. You pay only a minimum shipping fee on that first cup. Choose Good Old Days (US$21.90/month) to repeat a favourite scent, or Surprise Me (US$24.90/month) for a new botanical each month. Cancel anytime.

Yes. Cancel any time after the greeting sample—no questions asked. Email us from the address on your account and we stop the next pour.

About 35–48 hours per cup, depending on room airflow and wick care. Trim the wick, burn until the melt pool reaches the edge on the first light, and keep the cup away from draughts. Net wax is about 210–220 g.

Yes. Every candle ships in extra-hard kraft packaging. EXTRA listings add wooden matches and a floral soy companion. The six-scent set and gift box are designed for housewarming, festive and birthday gifting—search interest for luxury scented candles typically rises toward year-end holidays.

Regular is one handmade crystal candle in a kraft gift box. EXTRA is the same scent plus wooden matches and a floral soy wax companion candle in a more complete unboxing.

Jelly wax and soy wax, natural plant-based oil essences, and dried flowers, poured by hand. Oil stories begin with spice-garden plants used along the Silk Road. We do not mass-produce on an assembly line.

At Sparkly, “crystal” describes the wax, not a gemstone charm. We chip jelly wax into clear cubes and arrange them by hand with dried botanicals so the cup looks jewel-like before it is lit. The glow is the decoration.

Trim the wick to about 5 mm before each lighting. On the first burn, let the melt pool reach the edge of the cup so the wax does not tunnel. Keep the cup on a stable, heat-safe surface away from draughts, and never leave a flame unattended.

Burn them as you would any scented candle: on a heat-safe surface, away from curtains, and never unattended. Keep children and pets from the open flame and hot vessel. If anyone at home is scent-sensitive, start with a short burn. We do not claim the candles are pet-safe to ingest or to burn in a closed room with birds.

Yes. When only a thin film of wax remains, let the cup cool, lift out leftover wax with warm water, and wash gently. The clear cup works as a small vase or desk glass. Dried botanicals that remain can be composted.

Good Old Days (US$21.90/month) repeats the scent you choose. Surprise Me (US$24.90/month) lets Serah send a different botanical each month. Both start with a free first cup; you pay only a minimum shipping fee on that greeting sample. See the plans.
